Strong Points: Very good production. The entire mix was
clean, clear with vocals up front. Excellent guitar playing with the
harmonica adding nicely. Interesting storyline that held my attention. Not
sure what getting lubricated was all about.

Needs Improving: You used the same lyric twice. I would have liked to
see the song change it’s melody line a bit more. Chorus and verse were
too similar. The vocals threw me off at first, but I warmed up to them
after a few listens.

Summary: Nicely produced and played song with a good storyline. With
some tweaking, the song could be excellent.

06-Bobbio   I don't think the guitar fits the melody...in fact, the melody is hard to find...The guitar licks are certainly cool, but they just don't seem to be compatible with the simplicity of the singing...the lyrics were humorous and you made great use of a great title..
05-Todd   Love that guitar intro; takes me back somewhere. Lyrics are very gritty, and the production is good, too. Actually like the harmonica, so you shouldn't diss it too much. Needs something to take it to that next level, though... perhaps a vocal harmony in the chorus or something; I dunno. Great listen, though.
07-Jens   Good harp, good singing. I find your deep voice quite special
and expressing a lot of personality.
I don't know much about guitarplay, but your play does not sound as something I would find usual for such a song.
But you play it as it is very natural for you.
And after a few listens I didn't notice it much any more.
The melody could be a little more interesting, and I find the verse and the chorus too much alike.
It might help to have other musicians to join you in the chorus.
10-Kneena   HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
04-Markus   Was this Dylan singing and playing? :) I like the lyrics, they seem to be both, serious and ironical. In the refrain, the C major7 chord seems to be a little out of place. Without extension, the subdominat would be stronger (after the e-minor) and would fit more to that kind of music. But that is just me thinking...

Good song!

02-Nancy G. Firefly   Unfortunately, I can't get my computers to play your song. I will have to judge on the content of your lyrics. I love poetry and this one is great. Lubrication..lol....I love it. You love someone that is in a relationship with an other and that love brushes against your heart every now and then. I can relate to this song. You want to speak out the sounds of your heart and you do. I would so totally love to "hear" the harp in this one.
Great lyrics that touch this tattered heart of mine that has been scarred and burned, but I am hopeful for full recovery!...Thank you for sharing the sounds of your heart. Your lyrics touch my heart and soothe me deep inside.

Again, thanks to Christina for sending me a link so I could listen to your song. :-)
Okay, I dig the Bob Dylan "thang" you got going on.
Your fingerpicking style is much like I play. The harp is
perfect for this style of song! I would love to sit around a campfire at night and play along with you on my guitar or octave mandolin. It has a folk and country feel to it. Lubrication, please explain that to me? :-) I enjoyed the upbeat sound to your song too. Your lyrics fit the mood of your tune. Great job! Thank you for sharing the sounds of your heart!

08-Kris S   Nice song. The guitar is very good and I loved the harp. In fact I think you should have used it more in the intro. I got lost thought trying to fiqure out if there was a chorus to this song or just two differant bridges??? As for the lyrics...they worked. Told a story anyone could understand. Nice work
11-Dave C   I finally got around to registering for garageband.com . so I listened today. Good song but the voice was a little too 'out in front' for me but I got used to it. Please take the following comparison in a very positive way: Years ago, probably about 20, I went hiking in the Great Smokies with a group of guys, some of whom I did not know very well. Well, one of the guys knew every word to every John Prine song (prior to that experience I was unaware of John Prine). Needless to say, I knew almost every word to every J.P. song after about 7 days. I listened to this and it just reminded me a little bit of that J.P. style and I started having visions of the Great Smoky Mountains.
03-Brian   Freewheelin' Peter M.! Obviously very early Dylan influenced. I like the chord changes although I felt the melody during the bridge didn't quite fit the changes there. Interesting story line that is both emotional & amusing.
