SPELL-CHECKER IN INTERNET EXPLORER
You know those pesky text boxes where you type stuff and you notice all the typos after hitting enter? Such as on the JLSC message board? Take heart, there's a very simple solution to this: an add-on to the Internet Explorer that does the spell-checking for you. No more writing stuff in Word, correcting it and copying and pasting in the text box! One button does it all!
You can download this very nifty spell-checker from www.iespell.com. When you install it you can also add a button on the tool bar in IE (View>Toolbars>Customize and select Iespell) and just click on it before hitting Enter and voilà!

GETTING RID OF THOSE CURSED POP-UP WINDOWS IN INTERNET EXPLORER
OK, so the free hosts like this particular one won't like it but what the heck! I've paid my dues and so have you all!
I used to advocate the benefits of a pop-up killer program that you download and install. I have now discovered something much better and more useful: the Google toolbar. Its main function is to provide a search field and button in IE using the Google search engine. But its pop-up killer function is nothing to be sneazed at either.
You might have seen it advertised at Google. You can download it and install it from toolbar.google.com. The pop-up features only work for IE5.5 or higher though.
